PRONTO FILM completed the production of “The True Story Of Scarlet Sails” feature, a big project in cooperation between INTER TV channel, Inter Media Production, Ukrfilmtrest and Pronto Film.

Staring Veronika Ivaschenko (“Glianets”, “C.C.D.”, “Ranetki”) as Assol and Alexander Bukharov (“The Monarch’s Servant”, “Wolfhound”, “Gentlmen Officers”, “Save The Emperor”) as captain Grey as well as Yuriy Stoyanov, Albert Filozov, Semen Furman, Mikhail Svetin, Alexander Bashirov, Evklid Kjurdzidis and Juozas Budraitis.

The script is based on the novels by Alexander Grin. The principal shooting took place in Crimea and Kiev from September till December 2009. Several quarters of Liss’ town were constructed over the old sets on the Yalta Film Studio. The other shooting places in the Crimea were Gurzuf, Alupka, Sunny Valley and Lisya bay, following which the crew kept working in several studios in Kiev. All the set construction took around three months work.
